Not patriotic?

Be it any neighbouring country...China or Pakistan, who are they to decide Kashmir or Arunachal Pradesh is thier territory. Have our countrymen lost the "Killer Instinct" to save motherland from disintegration? Are all the citizens of the India aware of overall situation of the motherland? It seems most of countrymen aren't bothered as long as thier needs are fulfilled either from internal or external sources. How can they be feel so callous when there is threat to country's security? Incase, diplomacy doesn't work, country will have to face a war inview of rise in complexity of relationship & threats with neighbouring countries.

When will our Prime Minister address the countrymen about the ground reality and wake them up to the cause? When will all political leaders unite to cooperate to face the situation rather continue with blame game for political career? When will all the Govt. Department put on high alert like in times of war such as Health,Transport,Food Supplies? When will the internal war with maoist be solved? When will media be oriented to highlight the strengths of country rather than exposing the loopholes at such grave situation? When will the civilians be educated on do and dont's to cooperate in the case of war or aggression? When will the defence, security, intelligencia be put on war footing exercises such tightening coastal security, surprise combing operations, installation of latest security scanners etc?

Its rightly said" If you fail to plan, you plan to fail". Time has come,if we don't do it now, when the time comes, we might find ourseles too weak to defend ourselves.

Lessons for India

It was a good feeling to watch "China turns 60" in electronic and print media. Within 60 years, China has developed into the world's third largest economy after US and Japan. It has world's largest military power for its defence. This presence has raised concern over the powerful countries like US and India. It reflects " where there is a will, there is a way".

In 2009, we have celebrated the 62nd year of Indian Independence. The current scenario raises few questions:
a.)Does the slavery mindset still dominates our indian minds?
b.)Have our think tanks ever visioned such presence of our country in the globe?
c.)Where have our politicians and bureaucrats lead our country to?
d.)When Indians born-american citizens play a major role in US growth and development, why couldn't the country retain such intellectuals with better scope and reap its benefits? What makes an indian intellect to shift thier bases to different countries to flourish rather than thier own home country?
e.)Have we ever sincerely tried to uproot the error in our system for the development of country? When so many international agreements are signed with different countries on different issues, what have we learnt from them towards development of our country?
f.)For how long shall we give preference to individual interest over country's interest?
Now,it's clear that when chinese think tanks are busy with strategy of making china a superpower, our think tanks are busy with strategy to make themselves superpower[demi-gods]... if not, then how have the rich become power-rich, when the poor commits suicide out of debts and starvation.

What we see China as of now,India would have been in same postion underlining it's presence in the world. Today, I really miss our hero Late Subash Chandra Bose.

Its never too late to make a new beginning. So countrymen wake up now, unite and imbibe the meaning of "Aye Mere Watan Ke Logo" (ए मेरे वतन के लोगों) ("O! the people of my country!") the Indian patriotic song written in Hindi by Kavi Pradeep, composed by C. Ramchandra, sung by Lata Mangeshkar in presence of Prime Minister Late Jawaharlal Nehru, commemorating Indian soldiers who died during the Sino-Indian War.

Jai Hind!!!

E-Governance In Orissa

E-governance in Orissa still a non starter. It is digusting to note that e-governance programme failed to take off even after a decade due to lack of commitment from the top level as news sources stated. Why are top level lacking in commitment? Do the top level fear transparancy and accountability to the public on e-governance practice? Top level officials should always bear in mind "Lead the way or Leave the way".
Top level makes a difference. The enthusiastic commitment of all officials can be achieved through better management practices. Officials will contribute willingly and will do more than expected, if they are managed well. Extraordinary results can be achieved by ordinary officials, if top level does its job properly. The departments can be made progressive, if following points are adhered, keeping away political interference:
a. Performance based hiring and reshuffling
b. Employment Security
c. Restructuring of compensation package based on performances
d. Enormous training and qualfying tests
e. Recognising ideas and skill of officials at each level
f. Promotion on performance basis
g. Regular Review at each level.

If Govt deptt runs on rule of private companies "pay for performance", the computers in departments meant for e-governance will never be used as a tool for entertainment.

Security Threats

When pakistan is modifying Harpoon[anti-ship missile purchased from US]to target India and Chinese patrols have entered into the Indian territory 26 times in august 2009....in India, there is a hot debate on whether Pokhan-II test was successful or fizzle. Is it the proper time to make a post mortem of such issues and publicing itin media? The whole world is watching, India is slowly growing to become one of the powerful countries in the world. In order to supress the growth, neighbouring countries are busy making india centric strategies and enhacing arsenal capabilities. When our country's security is at stake with neighbouring countries, its high time for our think tanks to stop debating on any issues for political mileage and prepare an internal action plan to face the critical situation on a war footing to sprint ahead. We need to motivate our defence personnels, intelligence department, security agencies and last but not the least wake up our countrymen to the cause.

Indian Independence day pledge

Currently, the print and electronic media have created fear in the minds of public over China making a road map for breaking up India into 20-30parts.If China think tanks are busy preparing thier strategy and strengthening the military bases around our country, what are our think tanks busy with? How far our think tanks really concious of the critical situation? Are we equipped to face such a aggressive situation from neighbouring countries? When will we able to give up our differences created by political parties and unite to face such an aggression? Are our NRI brothers and sisters aware of the grave situation? Electronic media is highlighting Chinese military superiority versus indian defence services, why can't we make and air programme to evoke patriotism and internally strengthen our country? Perhaps! its the need of hour.It worked well during the war of independence against british rule.
We are celebrating our 62 year of independence...lets take a vow in our heart, change our laid back attitude, get united regardless of differences and think forward unitedly to save india from balkanisation. Otherwise India might be back to its slavery days. Think now, Act fast..before its too late.

Reality Shows

There are lot of shows and sops being aired to our home on TV channels. UTV bindass dadagiri...a reality show full of -beeps-... can the producers give one legitimate reason of telecasting it to the society? Is it to increase harshness among youngsters in the society or it is just making a reality show and earning from it? Producers of such shows for channels, don't they have any social responsibility? Few days back ,a programme named Sach ka Samna telecasted by Star Plus has created a stir among few politicians in Rajya Sabha as if they would be asked to be seated in HOT SEAT and thier secrets unearthed. There is nothing wrong in copying western format of reality shows but it must be set to the standards of indian society. The Q&A from the celebrity guest must inspire positive attitude within people to say the truth rather highlighting their private lives to increase the TRP ratings.

Relationships play a important role in human life. The good is the relationships, the better is the growth in life. How many serials in the Channels magnify the brighter side of relationships in the society versus the darker side? Have we ever realised the impact of such channel shows on every section and age group of indian society? Perhaps!!! the question can be best answered by experts in child psychology, social psychology and sociology.

We need to think seriously now...before its too late.

Surrendering Maoist

Kandri Lohar alias Madhuri is just an example who walked away from CPI[Maoist] outfit to join the main stream. Four years have passed but the benefits as per Naxal surrender policy is yet to be showered on her by the Govt. Watching Madhuri's fate, will other groupmates take the route to surrender and come to main stream for survival? Poverty debars poor people esp BPL people from getting adequate education. The lack of education disqualifies them to take up any proper job to take care of family. To add to it, there is either harrassment or negligence of govt officers when they try to avail the benefits of any govt welfare policy or rehabitation schemes. Poor people get motivated to join such violent group only when survival is at stake. Circumstances force such violent group to snatch the right to live when the surrouding environment do not allow them to survive. Is it necessary always to talk gun to gun with the Naxal? Has the govt lost its patience for a continuance of peace talk? I believe, if all the welfare and rehabiltation policies for the poor by the govt, is promptly implemented and monitored then violent group such as Naxal would never come into existence.

There are political babus, crorepati businessman, learned people, high order spiritual gurus and social service organisations in the country but a healthy synchronisation for a better coexistence still remains as dream for many.

Lastly, as you sow, so shall you reap... should never be forgotten by humans.
